The Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council (UMDPC) is committed to protecting the personal data of all individuals whose information we collect, in accordance with the Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019. This notice explains how UMDPC collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data obtained through our website and associated digital platforms.

2. Who We Are

UMDPC is a statutory body established under the Medical and Dental Practitioners Act, Cap 300. We regulate the training, registration, licensing, and professional conduct of medical and dental practitioners in Uganda.

5. Legal Basis for Processing

We process personal data based on:

  • The performance of a public duty under the Medical and Dental Practitioners Act

In accordance with the Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019, you have the right to:

  • Withdraw consent (where applicable)
  • Object to the processing of your data in certain circumstances
  • Lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Office (PDPO) under the NITA-U
