DetailsDescription COVID-19 Vaccines: Communication and Behaviour Change features interactive activities on how to effectively communicate accurate and evidence-based information to address vaccine hesitancy with families, colleagues and communities. Important concepts on vaccines and how they work, efficacy and safety, vaccine schedule and post-administration monitoring will be covered to provide healthcare works with the background to provide vaccine counseling and health education. The intended audience is nurses, midwives, physicians and other healthcare workers. This course is part of a series by the SickKids-Ghana Paediatric Nursing Education Partnership called COVID-19: ‘Promoting Physical & Mental Health of Children, Families, and Health Workers’. Other courses in the series are: • COVID-19: Child & Adolescent Health Objectives By the end of this course participants will be able to: 1. Identify the types of COVID-19 vaccines available and their benefits 2. Describe the use of COVID-19 vaccines in special populations 3. Provide health teaching to patients/community about the COVID-19 vaccine 4. Describe common myths and misinformation of COVID-19 vaccines and identify ways of addressing them 5. Demonstrate communication techniques to address vaccine hesitancy
