| Details | Between 11th March and 25th May 2025, a series of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions were conducted under the Ankole Local Maternity and Neonatal System (LMNS) to strengthen clinical competencies in maternal and newborn health. The sessions took place on 11th March, 18th March, 1st April, 29th April, and 25th May 2025. Topics covered included mastering vital observations and interpretation for timely decision-making, an overview of safe birth practices, stakeholder engagement and strengthening referral pathways for mothers and newborns, quality intrapartum care and respectful maternity care, neonatal jaundice and phototherapy, and cardiopulmonary arrest in pregnancy. These trainings aimed to enhance the capacity of healthcare providers to deliver timely, respectful, and evidence-based care across the maternal and newborn continuum. |
