ACUTE CARE OUTCOME IMPROVEMENT INITIATIVE (ACO) NATIONAL WEEKLY PEER LEARNING SESSION 003
| Name | Ministry of Health, Clinical Services Department |
| Activity Title | ACUTE CARE OUTCOME IMPROVEMENT INITIATIVE (ACO) NATIONAL WEEKLY PEER LEARNING SESSION 003 |
| Details | National Weekly Peer Learning ACO Sessions are Ministry of Health–led, non-punitive learning and quality-improvement sessions under the Acute Care Outcome Improvement Initiative (ACO). They bring health facilities and frontline health workers together to learn from real patient outcomes and the systems of care behind them, consistent with Uganda’s broader use of peer-learning approaches for healthcare patient outcomes improvement. Each session focuses on a real case from a participating facility. A peer facility reviews the case, the presenting team reconstructs the patient journey, and experts and participants examine what went well, what could have been improved, and the clinical, team, facility and health-system factors that influenced the outcome. The discussion then produces practical learning points and assigned action points, which are followed up in subsequent sessions. |
