| Details | The CPD session on Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) covered the causes, mode of transmission, incubation period, signs and symptoms, diagnosis, prevention, infection prevention and control (IPC), and management of suspected and confirmed cases. Emphasis was placed on early recognition, prompt reporting, isolation of suspected cases, appropriate use of PPE, hand hygiene, safe handling of body fluids and specimens, safe burial practices, and supportive patient care. The session strengthened healthcare workers’ knowledge and preparedness to prevent and control Ebola transmission within healthcare facilities and the community. |
