Details	The training of private health care service providers on the essential health services and management of COVID19 will focus on Providing health care workers at private health facilities a broad multi-disciplinary view on COVID 19 care and management and to learn basic clinical care, psychosocial support, epidemiology, and surveillance, home-based care, and continuity of essential services for COVID 19 patients at private health facilities. As the number of COVID 19 infections in Uganda surged especially in urban centers such as Kampala, which has 98% private facility coverage, the Ministry of Health expanded the role of the private sector to include sample collection and testing using PCR technology. It had, however, been observed that most of the reported COVID-19 cases were first identified and treated in the private sector facilities. As the number of COVID-19 cases increased, private sector providers from Kampala and across the country increasingly needed to play a more important role in the overall national response to the pandemic. UNACOH with funding from the World Bank and the Global Financing Facility was tasked to pilot, finalize and support the rollout of training modules on quality of care for essential services and COVID-19 case management in the private health care sub-sector in Uganda. The firm has worked closely with the World Bank Technical Team, the Ministry of Health, the Uganda Healthcare Federation, and private health sector stakeholders to review, pre-test, and adapt the training modules. Based on these steps the UNACOH Training Team now presents the Training Plan for Private Sector Health Workers.
