| Details | The CME session on Rheumatic Heart Disease (RHD) covered its causes, risk factors, signs and symptoms, complications, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. Emphasis was placed on early recognition and treatment of streptococcal throat infections, prevention of recurrent rheumatic fever, adherence to antibiotic prophylaxis, regular follow-up, and patient education. The session strengthened healthcare workers’ knowledge in early detection, appropriate management, and prevention of complications associated with RHD. |
