About this activity
This session provides a brief description of the history of positive pressure ventilation and an outline of its indications. It looks at the classification of operating theatre ventilators as well as giving a brief outline of the common modes. The limitations and complications are also described. Objectives By the end of this session you will be able to: • Identify the indications for positive pressure ventilation • Explain the limitations of positive pressure ventilation • List at least five complications of ventilation
