This session provides an overview of some of the clinically important respiratory challenges you may come across as a dental practitioner. Objectives By the end of this session you will be able to: • Describe the physiology, relevant anatomy and pathology of respiratory diseases • Describe the range of respiratory problems that may present in dental practice • Recognise signs and symptoms of respiratory patients in the dental practice setting • State the impact that drugs used in the treatment of such patients may have upon dental care provision • Describe the impact of respiratory conditions on the provision of dental care
