Techniques: Plain Radiography and Tomography

This session covers the radiological examination of the urinary tract using KUB and tomography. KUB refers to a plain radiograph of the abdomen to include the kidneys, ureters and bladder (KUB). Objectives By the end of this session you will be able to: • List the indications for a KUB • Describe how a KUB and tomography are performed • Recognise the pathology relevant to the urinary tract • Identify other abnormal features that may be incidental or more serious
