National Maternal and Perinatal Death Surveillance and Response (MPDSR) Meeting

Convenes weekly to discuss the targeted interventions for the leading causes of maternal and perinatal mortality and share best practices in implementing MPDSR. The meeting provides technical input towards “emerging” processes and issues in safe motherhood and, on a periodical basis, provides insights into the quality improvement interventions like Maternal Perinatal Death surveillance and response (MPDSR), along with comprehensive emergency obstetric-newborn care (EmONC) and Postnatal care (PC). THE CPD SESSION FOCUSED ON SHARING VALUABLE EXPERIENCES AND BEST PRACTICES IN THE EFFECTIVE IDENTIFICATION, RETENTION, AND MANAGEMENT OF HIGH-RISK PREGNANT WOMEN, DRAWING FROM THE EXPERIENCES OF THE BUFUMBO HEALTH CENTER IV (HCIV) QUALITY IMPROVEMENT (QI) TEAM. THE SESSION DELVED INTO STRATEGIES, CHALLENGES, AND SUCCESSES ENCOUNTERED IN IMPROVING THE CARE AND SUPPORT PROVIDED TO HIGH-RISK PREGNANT WOMEN WITHIN THE HEALTHCARE FACILITY.
