This presentation focuses on the identification and clinical management of birth asphyxia, a major cause of neonatal morbidity and mortality. It covers early recognition of signs, use of the APGAR score, and immediate resuscitation techniques following Helping Babies Breathe (HBB) protocols. Participants will explore both preventive and emergency interventions, including maternal care during labor, skilled birth attendance, and neonatal follow-up. The session aims to strengthen skills and systems for timely, effective response to asphyxia in newborns.
